  • Academic Affairs Weekly News Digest: The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program’s 2026-27 competition opens Tuesday, Feb. 18. Learn about opportunities for U.S. citizens to go abroad for teaching or research, along with other important updates in this week’s news digest.
  • International Women’s Day Celebration: The Office of International Programs is accepting nominations for the International Women’s Day celebration. This is an opportunity to highlight a UNC Charlotte community member who has positively contributed to global efforts. Nomination and registration forms are now open; self-nominations are welcome.
  • Upgrade Your Devices: To avoid interruption, please upgrade your device to the latest operating system. Mac users should do so before the automatic update Monday, March 3.

  • Part-time Job Fair: Save the date for the Part-time Job Fair Wednesday, March 12, in the Popp Martin Student Union. Network with employers hiring for seasonal, part-time, temporary and non-degreed positions.
  • First-Gen Excellence Awards: Applications for the Spring First-Generation Excellence Awards are open through Monday, Feb. 24, for first-generation graduating seniors. Applications are based on self-nominations for the Community Impact and Golden Achievement Academic awards.

  • Failure Showcase: Join the Honors College for the fifth annual Failure Showcase from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24, in CHHS, Room 376. Featured speakers include North Carolina House Leader Robert Reives II, District Judge Kimberly Herrick and Gene Johnson ’73. Please RSVP to attend.
  • International Speaker Series: The next International Speaker Series event is from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Atkins Library, Halton Reading Room. Nicole Binter-Baksian, ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, will discuss Luxembourg’s role in international affairs, contributions to economic innovation and more.
  • For the First: A First-Gen Salary Negotiation workshop will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Cone University Center, Lucas Room. Niner Finances will host a session to guide first-generation Niners on building negotiating skills and preparing for upcoming job offers.
