IT job posts, including in healthcare, are increasingly emphasizing a desire for AI skills, The Wall Street Journal reported March 10.

1. Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. tech job postings so far in 2025 are seeking employees with AI skills, according to the story.
2. Six percent of healthcare tech jobs posted in January were AI-related, a number that has doubled since the advent of ChatGPT, per the Journal.
3. AI was the talk of the recent HIMSS conference for healthcare IT executives in Las Vegas, Becker’s reported.
4. Health system CIOs have told Becker’s that finding AI talent can be a challenge.
5. Organizations are mostly “looking for people that have experience or knowledge integrating AI into jobs that already exist,” Thomas Vick, senior regional director at staffing firm Robert Half, told the Journal.
