The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute will host its annual artificial intelligence symposium, “Navigating AI: Transforming Industries and Careers,” on Tuesday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms. This hybrid event will explore AI’s ever-evolving impact on job automation in various industries, including education, health care, finance, insurance, real estate and more.

Attendees will gain insights from a diverse array of experts through keynote and panel discussions and engage in moderated, thematically oriented conversations with their peers and speakers. Attendees will also have several opportunities to network throughout the day.
Attendees will hear from President Kimo Ah Yun; Andrew DeGuire, Keyes Dean of Business Administration; and Marquette faculty members, including:
- Dr. Richard Povinelli, professor of electrical and computer engineering in the Opus College of Engineering
- Dr. Gabriel Velez, associate professor of educational policy and leadership in the College of Education
- Dr. Joseph Wall, associate professor and Donald F. Flynn and Beverly L. Flynn Chair of Accounting in the College of Business Administration
