BLEND is inviting applications from native speakers and language professionals for a range of remote, project-based opportunities in voice-over recording, speech technology, artificial intelligence (AI) voice development and medical transcript review.
The recruitment campaign features opportunities across several languages, accents and professional backgrounds, offering selected applicants the chance to contribute to customer-service audio projects, multilingual speech datasets and AI-powered language technologies.
The available positions vary in their eligibility requirements, recording arrangements and project durations. While some opportunities are open to speakers in different countries, others have strict geographical requirements, particularly the medical transcript review assignments, which are exclusively available to qualified individuals based in the United States.
Professional voice-over experience is not required for some recording positions, making selected opportunities accessible to individuals with natural speaking voices, good communication skills and access to suitable recording equipment.
1. Voice-Over Casting – English (United States)
BLEND is recruiting English-speaking individuals with natural United States accents for a customer-service voice recording project. A limited number of applicants with a light British accent will also be considered.
The project seeks voices that sound genuine, warm, friendly and confidently conversational, resembling the communication style of a customer-service representative assisting someone over the telephone.
Applicants do not need previous professional voice-over experience. The most important requirements are clear pronunciation, natural delivery and the ability to communicate in a calm and approachable manner.
The assignment is remote and project-based, allowing selected participants to record from their own locations.
2. Voice-Over Casting – Native Basque and Galician Speakers
Native Basque and Galician speakers are invited to submit applications for a multilingual voice recording project.
The recruitment covers male and female voices and involves conversational recordings combining scripted material with natural, unscripted speech.
Applicants are required to provide a short recording sample of approximately two minutes. A professional recording studio is not necessary, as participants can complete the recording in a quiet room using a decent-quality microphone.
An important consideration is that the recordings will be licensed for commercial use and the development of synthetic voice models. Applicants should therefore carefully examine the licensing conditions presented in the screening questionnaire before agreeing to participate.
3. English Voice Sample – United States and Canada
English speakers currently residing in the United States or Canada are being recruited to contribute voice samples to a speech technology project.
The initial task involves recording approximately one to two minutes of natural, unscripted speech using a mobile phone or computer.
The activity is relatively short and does not require extensive recording experience. Selected participants may also be contacted about future voice recording assignments.
This opportunity is particularly suitable for individuals who speak English naturally and can provide clear audio recordings.
4. Spanish and Portuguese Voice-Over Talent
BLEND is seeking female voice-over talent for an AI voice development project involving Mexican Spanish and neutral Brazilian Portuguese.
The recruitment begins with a scripted voice sample lasting approximately 1.5 minutes. Applicants who successfully complete the screening stage may progress to paid recording assignments.
Participants must have access to a quiet recording environment, a USB or good-quality microphone and the ability to submit uncompressed WAV audio files.
The project involves synthetic voice development and requires successful applicants to agree to AI voice cloning under a non-exclusive licence. Candidates should review the relevant conditions before submitting their applications.
5. Multilingual Voice Recording Opportunities – 27 Language Varieties
BLEND is also recruiting native-speaking voice talent for a broader multilingual recording project covering 27 language varieties.
The recruitment includes several Spanish varieties, including Colombian, Argentinian, Mexican and European Spanish, alongside five regional varieties of Brazilian Portuguese.
Other languages include Arabic varieties spoken in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf region, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, as well as European and Canadian French.
Additional languages covered by the project include Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Polish, Swedish and Turkish.
The assignments involve scripted recordings and natural conversations produced according to professional audio specifications. Participants must have access to a quiet, suitably equipped recording environment.
Successful applicants will initially complete a short unpaid sample before progressing to paid production work. Recordings are licensed for commercial use and synthetic voice model development, making it important for candidates to understand the licensing terms.
6. Medical AI Transcript Review Opportunities – United States
BLEND is recruiting experienced language speakers for five medical transcript review assignments involving Tagalog, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hindi and Spanish.
The projects require participants to review clinical conversations in their respective languages and identify personal information that requires protection.
Each assignment is expected to take approximately 3.5 hours and is scheduled for 4–7 August, according to the recruitment announcement.
The work is completed using a mobile phone and requires strong language comprehension and the ability to recognise sensitive personal information in medical conversations.
Eligibility restriction: These assignments are strictly limited to qualified language speakers residing in the United States or its territories. Applicants’ locations will be verified, and applications from individuals outside the eligible geographical areas will not be accepted.
Application Process
Interested candidates should visit the official BLEND recruitment platform, review the available positions and select the opportunity corresponding to their language skills and location.
Some positions require short voice samples, while others involve screening questionnaires or additional qualification assessments.
Applicants should carefully review the project requirements, recording specifications, payment arrangements and licensing conditions before submitting their applications. In particular, candidates interested in AI voice projects should understand how their recordings may be used to develop synthetic voices.
Important Information
These are project-based opportunities rather than permanent employment positions. Payment arrangements and selection requirements may differ between assignments. Applicants should confirm the applicable terms directly with BLEND.
