Growing up with some of the best classic sci-films of all time like The Terminator or even films like The Matrix, it almost feels surreal to be discussing AI… in real life. There has been many discussions about AI’s place in our society and it was even a major talking point during the election.

Are we moving toward a brighter and better future? Or are we moving toward a dark cold world that pits man versus machine… literally?

AI’s Limits Continue To Expand

Many of us have heard or had the discussion about AI taking over the world… and why wouldn’t we? Have you ever asked AI to program something for you? Seriously – go ahead and try it. Recently, one of us asked ChatGPT to give us a source code for a simple (at least to us) game of Texas Hold’em.

And do you know what happened? It spit out lines and lines of code for seemingly the perfect Texas Hold’em computer game. Go and give it a try, it’s kind of scary!

It’s one of the many reasons that some sources including SEO.AI (ha!) predict that computers will replace human tasks within 50 years.

If that’s true and that does happen… what will happen to our workforce? Our livelihoods?

Are we creating a monster? Are we opening Pandora’s Box?

President Trump recently signed an executive order for the US to shift its focus on improving AI for the betterment of America. But, we have to ask ourselves at some point if AI can actually be good for us.

Sure, it can assist us in medical research, writing code, etc… but what happens when AI completely cancels out the need for humans? Will we have a tough time finding work or providing for our families?
