Dr. Son Nguyen is the cofounder & CEO of Neurond AI, a company providing world-class artificial intelligence and data science services.
My journey building Neurond, as well as operating Orient Software, has been a fascinating exploration of AI’s potential in businesses. After years of running and operating technology companies, I’ve learned that successful AI integration isn’t just about adopting the latest technology; it’s about understanding limitations and strategically leveraging its strengths.
I discovered that a one-size-fits-all approach rarely works. The optimal AI solution is highly dependent on the specific business context, the available data and the desired outcomes.
And despite concerns among some team members about job displacement, AI tools are not meant to overshadow human capability and expertise but to empower us. In this article, I’ll share our experience with how AI is applied in my businesses to enhance employees’ productivity.
AI As A Coding Assistant
The rapid growth of technological advancement, along with a huge number of talented IT professionals, make the software industry more competitive. To become a shining star in this area, software engineers need both relevant skills and a thorough understanding of current trends.
Aware of these challenges, developers need to focus on mastering advanced tools and applications to improve their quality of work and differentiate themselves. Software engineers, quality control engineers, data analysts and AI engineers must maximize AI tools to generate code, test code, debug and analyze data. Not only do they help streamline the development process, but they also maintain high standards of code quality.
To support people’s work, our AI team even developed a customized chat assistant called Neurond Assistant. It leverages the current best generative AI models, including GPT, Gemini and Claude, which aid in coding, analyzing data, writing content and more. Depending on their specific job, people will decide on a suitable model for their task. Claude 3.5 Sonet is preferable by most developers thanks to its high accuracy for complex code structure, while content marketers love Gemini 1.5 for their compelling, clear and engaging generated content.
AI As A Creative Partner
ChatGPT is just the tip of the iceberg; the capabilities of generative AI continue to surprise us, particularly in creativity.
Artificially intelligent content creation tools greatly assist writers and marketers in writing articles, blogs and marketing materials. Tasks like researching topics, finding ideas, outlining the structure and crafting a complete draft, which might typically take 10 hours, can now be completed in minutes with comparable quality.
You can encourage your marketing team members to take advantage of AI writing tools such as Jasper and Copy.ai to improve their productivity. The intelligent chat assistant supporting the software development department in my company also does a good job of generating content. My people utilize it to produce any kind of content in different tones and styles, ensuring it aligns with the intended audience and purpose.
AI As A People And Culture Collaborator
In regard to AI for people and culture, there are tons of things that AI applications can support: professional emails, welcome letters, announcements, memos, newsletters and job descriptions, just to name a few. Particularly, our talent acquisition team recently implemented smart applicant tracking systems (ATS) to simplify their work. Now, screening resumes or matching the right candidates with suitable jobs has become easier than ever before, saving them a lot of time.
It’s important to ask any of your administrators, talent development executives or talent acquisition specialists what their biggest pain points are. For us, their headaches mostly come from answering similar questions from hundreds of employees over and over again. Overall, these questions were about the company’s policies, values, benefits and compensations.
To address these challenges, the PnC function was added to Neurond Assitant. It allows employees to access the company’s information quickly and easily while ensuring consistent and accurate responses. This capability helps reduce the burden on PnC staff so they can focus on strategic and high-value activities. Also, the tool enables tracking and analysis of frequently asked questions, providing valuable insights into areas where additional training or communication may be needed.
Conclusion
Integrating AI into businesses is no longer an option but a necessity. From software and AI engineers to content marketers, designers and data analysts, people are finding ways to benefit from the efficiency and creativity that AI can bring to their work.
Still, the future of successful business operations lies in the cooperation between humans and AI. It requires employees to adopt a mindset shift. Rather than fearing AI and considering it a threat, they should embrace it as a valuable tool to enhance their work.
To achieve that, business leaders need to invest in training and resources that demonstrate how AI can assist employees in their daily tasks, freeing up time for strategic and creative work. Highlight real-world examples of AI’s positive impact on workflows and individual achievements to reinforce its value. As a result, organizations can ensure that AI becomes a true partner in growth and creativity, unlocking new possibilities for their workforce.
