AI augmentation: How Aquant enhances service teams across industries – SiliconANGLE

Aquant Inc. uses artificial intelligence to support service teams in industries such as manufacturing, medical devices and industrial machinery. Its AI-driven approach helps teams work more efficiently and solve problems faster,  according to Assaf Melochna (pictured), co-founder and president of Aquant. AI augmentation is important because it enhances human capabilities rather than replacing them, allowing people to work more efficiently and creatively.

“It’s the Aquant Platform for Service Professionals [and] it’s an AI platform,” Melochna said. “We’ve been doing AI before AI was a sexy word. For the people in the field, they have a coach … or a buddy next to them, but instead of a physical buddy or a physical coach, it’s actually the AI helping that person to do a better job. In many cases, in our industry, people are phoning a friend. Now we can have the AI to be your guided support to do your job better.”

Melochna spoke with theCUBE’s Christophe Bertrand for the Tech Innovation CUBEd Awards 2025 interview series, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the game-changing impact of AI augmentation.

Why should AI augmentation be top of mind?

Unlike full automation, which removes human involvement, AI augmentation works alongside people to improve productivity, creativity and decision-making. This explains why Aquant has set the ball rolling in this sector, according to Melochna.

“You mentioned something very, very interesting about augmenting human beings with AI,” he said. “Many people are concerned that AI will take jobs from people, and we believe that AI is actually going to augment it. If you look at the AI, the AI would be good as the data is being served. What we know in our industry [is] that there’s a lot of tribal knowledge [and] there’s a lot of things that happen in the head of the most senior experienced people in each organization. How can you take that data and knowledge and experience that they have in their head and augment it into the AI?”

To address the increasing complexity of machinery, rising customer expectations and workforce shortages, Aquant deploys AI-powered tools. Efficiency gains are attained through continuous learning, proactive guidance and smooth integration, according to Melochna. Recognizing Aquant’s impact on manufacturing efficiency, the company received a CUBEd Award for “Top AI-Enabled Product – Manufacturing.”

“What we do as a company [is that] we are helping manufacturers with their service professionals to do a better job, and when we do that, basically, it’s across the entire lifecycle of the service,” he said. “We are able to resolve a problem quicker, in some cases before the customer even needs to worry about it or without calling the contact center and people in the field. John Deere is one of our customers using our product in order to ensure that when there is an issue, it’s being resolved as quickly as possible in order to ensure the successful yield of that crop.”
