Where to buy legal weed in North Jersey

Licenses to operate recreational cannabis dispensaries are being considered for approval every month by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission, so we should expect to see many more weed stores open in New Jersey this year, soon to be followed by consumption lounges.

For now, the largest concentration of the 33 cannabis dispensaries for adults 21 and over is in North Jersey.

In the North, there are five companies that make up nine stores, each having their own menus, layout and culture. For your convenience, we have broken the list up by county.

This list includes locations and hours of operation for each dispensary. You can see an interactive map of all recreational locations in New Jersey, so far, at the state government site here.

Even though Union County is considered Central Jersey, Iā€™ve included the only store in Elizabeth because itā€™s so close to the Newark Airport.
