What is your position and what do you/your company do in the cannabis space?
I am the founder of a cannabis CRM business consultancy. With years of experience serving retailers, our team of certified Salesforce professionals excels in delivering exceptional implementation services to cannabis dispensaries, cultivators, processors, and distribution companies.
How long have you worked in the cannabis space?
I have worked in the legal cannabis space since 2020.
What did you do before you were involved in the cannabis industry?
I have experience working in the payments and technology industry, having worked at blue chip Fortune 100 companies such as American Express, Salesforce, Microsoft, and Sprinklr.
What led you to the cannabis industry?
Cannabis has been a part of my personal and professional journey. I have family members who consume cannabis, as well as others who have faced legal consequences, including arrests and deportations, related to cannabis.
As an entrepreneur, I made a conscious decision to leverage my career experience and intellectual property to impact the legal cannabis ecosystem in hopes of empowering retailers with software solutions that enhance their operational efficiency and enable them to run their cannabusinesses more effectively.
Do you have any advice for someone looking to get into the NY weed industry?
My advice to someone looking to get into the NY weed industry would be: think, contemplate, strategize, and diligently plan for the journey. Be prepared for a greater investment of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energy than initially anticipated.
What do you think the NY cannabis ecosystem will look like in five years?
The NY cannabis ecosystem will mirror our society. There will be retailers that serve all levels of customers with various types of cannabis products. The franchises and brands that leverage Silverback cannabis CRM will be wildly successful with data-powered insights to increase product sales. The innovation from cultivators in our regulated ecosystem will have yielded award-winning products. As the torchbearer of cannabis culture globally, “New Amsterdam” will emerge as the global leader in this ever-growing industry.
Do you use cannabis? If so, what’s your favorite method (flower, dabs, edibles, tinctures, etc.), and why?
Indeed, I partake in the use of cannabis. Following in the footsteps of Albert Einstein, I opt for a glass sherlock pipe, appreciating its ability to enhance the flavor and overall quality of the flower.
