NORTH BERGEN — They’re technically farmers, but these New Jersey entrepreneurs aren’t growing blueberries or cranberries out in the sunny fields and wetlands of the Garden State.

Instead, they’ve meticulously built indoor grow houses tucked inside the urban sprawl of North Bergen. Whether it’s a humid, medium-sized room in a warehouse west of Tonnelle Avenue or a sprawling complex with numerous rooms dedicated to each step, they’re producing New Jersey’s next big thing: cannabis.
