WILLIAMSPORT — A strong smell of marijuana is the reason police say a Williamsport Area High School student was searched Wednesday and a gun was found in his backpack.
Williamsport police said the 15-year-old boy was escorted to the principal’s office in the morning where staff conducted the search.
Besides the gun, officers said they found drugs but the news release does not identify them.
