Two men were hospitalized after a shooting Sunday evening in south Napa, police said.

Officers responded about 5:25 p.m. to reports of gunfire on Greenbach Street near Gerald Street and found evidence of a shooting outside homes in the residential area, Sgt. Andy Oros said. Police remained at the scene for several hours.

Investigators later learned the men had been shot and drove themselves to the hospital before officers arrived. Their condition was not available, Oros said, but police said they were stable Sunday night.

No weapon has been located, Oros said. Investigators are still determining what led to the shooting and how many people were involved.

No further details have been released.
