Rancho Cotate 28, Windsor 21: Roman Perez scored a go-ahead touchdown with 18 seconds left and Luke Morie sealed the win with his second interception of the game in a thrilling victory for the Cougars on the road over the Jaguars in REC-Adobe play Friday night.

Liam Griffith set up the game-winning touchdown for Rancho Cotate (5-3, 1-3 REC-Adobe), which snaps a four-game losing streak, with a 40-yard reception on a tipped pass with the Cougars driving at midfield. Perez then ran up the middle for 11 yards into the end zone.

Rancho Cotate head coach Gehrig Hotaling said he had told Perez to just center the ball and go down to set up a field goal, but Perez saw a hole and took advantage. He finished the night with 65 rushing yards on 16 carries.

Jackson Rhode passed for 256 yards on 17-of-33 attempts with three touchdowns and an interception. Griffith led the way receiving with nine catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns.

Rancho Cotate trailed 21-14 heading to the fourth and tied the game with nine minutes left. The Cougars forced four turnovers from Windsor (6-3, 1-3) — three picks (two from Morie and one from Devin Perkins) and a fumble recovery by John McClellan. It’s the first time that Rancho Cotate has beaten Windsor since 2021, snapping a four-game losing streak to the Jaguars.

“We were playing good in losses to good teams, we just hadn’t been in the red zone for three games,” Hotaling said. “It was weighing on us, so when we finally got in the end zone we relaxed and just played football. We knew we could play with these guys.”

The Cougars will close out the regular season as host to San Marin (7-2, 2-2) next week, while Windsor will travel south to play at Marin Catholic (4-5, 3-1).

Analy 42, Santa Rosa 14: The Tigers (6-3, 2-2 REC-Bay) didn’t allow a point in the first half as they beat Santa Rosa (3-6, 0-4) to pick up a league win Friday night at home.

Branz Jacobs had a stellar outing on senior night, rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns. Analy’s defense also had its best game of the season, limiting the Panthers to 14 points after allowing just 12 the week before.

Analy will now head up to Ukiah (5-3, 3-0) next Friday night to finish out their league slate. Santa Rosa will play at home that night against Montgomery (0-9, 0-4).

Petaluma 42, Tamalpais 25: The Trojans scored 18 second-half points while holding Tam scoreless in the third quarter to pull away for the home victory Friday night.

Petaluma rushed for a total of 497 yards, with 177 of those from Aidan Wirtz, who scored three touchdowns. Brody Stevens rushed for 131 yards and two scores. On defense, the Trojans picked off Tam three times and allowed just 35 rushing yards.

Petaluma (6-3, 3-2 REC-Valley) now heads into a massive Egg Bowl rivalry game next week with Casa Grande (4-4, 4-0) that could have serious playoff implications. That game is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Petaluma High School.

Napa 42, Justin-Siena 10: The Grizzlies picked up their first league win of the season and snapped a five-game losing streak with Friday night’s home rout of the Braves.

Napa (3-6, 1-5 REC-Valley) rallied from a 10-0 deficit at the start of the second quarter, putting 42 unanswered points on Justin over the final three frames.

The Grizzlies scored 28 points in the second quarter alone and added a touchdown in each of the third and fourth quarters.

Napa closes out the season against Tamalpais next Friday. Justin-Siena (0-9, 0-5 REC-Valley) is at Tamalpais on Saturday.

Archie Williams 54, Healdsburg 6: The Greyhounds were routed at home by the Peregrine Falcons on Friday night to fall to 0-9 on the season and 0-5 in the REC-Mountain.

Healdsburg will close out the regular season at Sonoma Valley (8-1, 5-0) next week.

Fort Bragg 37, Cloverdale 18: The Eagles put up their highest point total of the season, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a third consecutive loss in Friday night’s road game at Fort Bragg.

Cloverdale (2-7, 1-5 NCL I) will look to close out the season with a win next Friday at home against Lower Lake.
