Artificial intelligence, even generative AI, is here to stay. While AI software probably won’t replace you at work, scientists who can effectively use this new tool will have an advantage over those who cannot. In addition to taking online classes, one good way to learn how to use AI is to apply it to your own career development.
Locate companies. You can ask an AI tool to find companies within a certain geographic region that hire people with a specific job title, or to filter jobs by other criteria that are important to you. Once you get back results, you can go back and forth with the AI tool to expand and refine the list to meet your needs. AI searches may be able to identify other job titles that you should consider, find organizations you might want to investigate further, and so on.
