AI can make your job search faster, but if you let it do everything, it can also make you less convincing. My colleague Tim Parody and I spoke with recruiters and job coaches about where candidates should and shouldn’t use AI in their job search. They said I can be useful for tailoring your resume, sharpening language around your accomplishments, and organizing interview prep. But even if AI helps you tell your story, it can’t invent it. Steven Telford, a headhunter and career coach who previously recruited for AW, said that if your resume. Says that you boosted sales by 30%. Be ready to explain exactly how you did that. Recruiters also said they’re increasingly wary of applications that sound polished but not human. And when it comes to using bots to mass apply, if it’s obvious, it may signal that you didn’t care enough to put thought into the role. So use AI as an editor, researcher, and brainstorming partner. But make sure every claim is true, every application sounds like you, and every word can be defended in an interview. For more tips about how you can navigate.
